Lead Tekla Detailer (Remote) - Structural & Misc

From New Orleans, LA, you can lead steel detailing remotely for a growing structural steel company. As Lead Tekla Detailer / Detailing Manager, you'll detail jobs yourself and also run the detailing team, owning drawing review and coordination across commercial and industrial projects, which range from miscellaneous stairs to 200-250 ton structural and miscellaneous steel packages.

What you'll do

• Manage and coordinate a team of outsourced overseas detailers: assign work, set standards, and keep schedules on track
• Take over review and checking of all shop and erection drawings before they're released
• Coordinate RFIs with project managers, engineers, and general contractors
• Track drawing submittals, revisions, and approvals
• Detail smaller projects in Tekla Structures, from start to finish

What you bring

• Experience leading or coordinating other detailers, including remote or overseas teams
• Solid RFI and submittal management skills
• Experience on commercial and industrial projects
• Strong Tekla Structures detailing experience in structural and miscellaneous steel
• Experience checking and reviewing drawings for accuracy and constructability
