Summary

The Lead Ultrasound Technologist at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital performs diagnostic procedures on patients using ultrasound waves to examine tissue and body structure, providing quality images to radiologists and physicians for interpretation. The Lead Ultrasound Technologist performs all aspects of ultrasound procedures including abdominal, pelvic, gynecologic, small parts, Doppler studies and interventional procedures utilizing an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient's individual age specific needs and to provide individualized age specific treatment and care. This position may require performing procedure in other departments such as O.R., I.R. and on hospital inpatient units.

Qualifications

Education/Certification:

• Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound program
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer - RDMS

Experience:

• At least 3-5 years' experience in Ultrasound
• Previous lead/supervisory experience preferred
