Our industry-leading portfolio unlocks human and machine potential to drive business growth, innovation, and sustainable success. BMC does this in a simple and optimized way by connecting people, systems, and data that power the world's largest organizations so they can seize a competitive advantage.

We are looking for an experienced Lead UX Research Analyst to lead qualitative research for high-profile agentic initiatives that have impact across the BMC portfolio. You will partner with product management, engineering, design, product research, and subject matter experts to identify cross-product user needs, evaluate emerging experiences, and translate evidence into product strategy and experience direction. Your work will help teams create coherent, trusted, and effective experiences across product boundaries.

You will also strengthen the UX research practice by guiding best practices with other professional researchers. This role does not have formal people-management responsibilities but carries significant influence across products, teams, and the research organization.

  • Select and apply appropriate methods, including interviews, contextual inquiry, workflow analysis, concept testing, usability testing, surveys, and longitudinal research.
  • Evaluate agentic experiences for usefulness, usability, trust, transparency, controllability, explainability, predictability, and failure recovery.
  • Define and apply shared UX measures that assess experience quality, customer outcomes, agent effectiveness, and adoption.
  • Triangulate behavioral, attitudinal, product, and business data.

  • Significant experience in conducting UX research with highly technical users in complex enterprise systems, platforms, IT infrastructure, and/or mission-critical applications.
  • Demonstrated success leading highly-visible research projects spanning multiple products, teams, workflows, and user groups.
  • Experience leading and conducting UX research for AI-enabled, generative AI, or agentic capabilities used in products or enterprise workflows.

Research Expertise

  • Expert in generative research with quantitative fluency.
  • Expert in UX research methods, including interviews, contextual inquiry, concept testing, usability testing, workflow analysis, surveys, and mixed-method research.
