The OpportunityWe are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Muskegon that are seeking skilled Lean Manufacturing Engineers. Key Responsibilities- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping).
- Analyze manufacturing processes to identify waste, bottlenecks, and opportunities for efficiency gains.
- Implement and sustain Lean tools such as standard work, visual management, and poka-yoke.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute improvement projects.
- Train and mentor production staff on Lean principles and problem-solving techniques.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of Lean initiatives.
- Lead root cause analysis for production issues and implement corrective actions.
Recommended Qualifications- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Bonus Qualifications- Six Sigma Black Belt certification
- Experience with simulation software (e.g., Arena, FlexSim)
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Proficiency in a programming language (e.g., Python, R) for data analysis
- Familiarity with Industry 4.0 technologies (e.g., IoT, AI, robotics)
