What You'll Do:
Lead student programming:

Partner with families:
  • Meet regularly with parents to discuss student progress, goals, and recommendations.
  • Help families understand their child's academic needs and the steps that can support continued growth.
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with families based on trust and results.
Lead and support instructors:
  • Supervise and coach part-time instructors to help them succeed.
  • Help teachers deliver high-quality instruction and maintain a positive learning environment.
Run the learning center:
  • Oversee daily center operations, including scheduling, invoicing, payroll, and other administrative responsibilities.
  • Help maintain an organized, welcoming, and productive center environment.
  • Take ownership of center performance and the student and family experience.
Build community relationships:
  • Develop relationships with local schools, teachers, and community organizations.
  • Help increase awareness of Huntington's programs and the results we achieve for our students.

What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • 3+ years of experience in education, tutoring, customer service, management, or a related field.
  • Teaching or tutoring experience is strongly preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A genuine desire to help students succeed.
  • Confidence working with parents and discussing student needs and appropriate program recommendations.
  • A positive, energetic, and solutions-oriented approach.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team.

Schedule:
  • Part-time — up to 35 hours per week.
  • Flexible hours Monday–Thursday, between 12:00 - 8:00 p.m., Fridays 2-7 p.m., with occasional Saturday support between 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

This schedule can be an excellent fit for an educator, former teacher, tutor, school professional, or experienced customer-service/management professional looking for meaningful work with students.

We have a team of capable, caring professionals that work with students from Kindergarten through high school.

We have an excellent reputation as is evident by the fact that over half of the families that we serve come to us through a friend or family recommendation. We strive to provide each student with the best education possible.

We are proud to provide skill work to students in reading, writing, math, phonics and study skills. We are also home to the premier ACT/SAT program in the area. Our ACT preparation has seen our students average a 4.5 point increase on the exam. 4.5 points! We also provide subject specific tutoring in math and science.

All tutoring is done by certified teachers.

We are proud to be active members of our communities as we are involved with both the La Grange Park Chamber and and West Suburban Chamber of Commerce. We reserve our greatest pride for the hundreds of students that we have helped in the 20 plus years that we have been open.

At the 2018 National Convention, Huntington honored outstanding centers with awards for center growth, student enrollment, customer service and other achievements.
