Job Title: Lecturer/Special Lecturer - Nutrition Program Job Description Summary:

The Nutrition Program within the Department of Interdisciplinary Health Sciences invites applicants for the position of Lecturer to teach NTR 4350 Nutrient Metabolism in Winter 2027 with the potential to continue teaching this course in future academic years.

This lecture-based course is currently scheduled to meet in-person, Tuesdays and Thursdays 3:00 pm- 4:47pm at Oakland University main campus from January 6 to April 28, 2027. The primary goals of the course are to 1) Explain the metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, and minerals, 2) Describe associations with dietary requirements and disease processes, nutrient interactions and nutrient stability, and 3) Cover digestion, bioavailability, and food sources of macro- and micronutrients.

Minimum Qualifications:

Masters level or higher in nutrition, biology, biochemistry, or related field.

Teaching experience preferred.
