Overview We are looking for an experienced legal assistant who can help the busy attorneys and paralegals at our law office assist our clients. You'll be responsible for managing office correspondence, including answering phone calls and emails, arranging meetings and travel, and ensuring our legal team is aware of upcoming deadlines. You'll also assist with preparing legal documents and contracts, and perform any other tasks as needed to ensure our firm is operating efficiently. If you work well in a fast-paced environment and consistently deliver a high-quality work product, reach out to us today!ResponsibilitiesBe willing to take on any other necessary administrative tasks to help the firm run smoothlyComplete legal research as needed under the supervision of attorneys and paralegalsSchedule meetings and appointments for the team, such as depositions, make travel arrangements, and coordinate with outside vendors for eventsManage office correspondence and administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, communicating with opposing attorney offices, taking dictation, responding to emails, and reminding the team of upcoming deadlinesWork with attorneys and paralegals to create various legal documents, including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, affidavits, contracts, and briefs for case preparation, and proofread documents when requestedPrepare and file legal documents through PACER (Public Access to Court Electronic Records) and CM/ECF electronic filing systemsQualificationsMinimum 1-2 years of experience in a law firm or office environment as an administrative assistant or secretarySome knowledge of legal software, case management, and docketing programsAbility to comfortably use all Microsoft Office productsAble to meet demanding deadlines in a fast-paced environmentApplicants must be able to type 50 words per minute or fasterCompensation$25 - $30 hourly#J-18808-Ljbffr
