Description

Adams & Martin Group is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to join a law firm in Minneapolis. This is a direct hire opportunity with an onsite work model.

The Legal Assistant's responsibilities include:

  • Provide direct administrative and legal support to the Managing Shareholder.
  • Manage and prioritize a high volume of emails, communications, deadlines, and requests.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for clients and internal team members.
  • Triage incoming matters and determine appropriate next steps.
  • Gather information, organize materials, and prepare documents for attorney review.
  • Draft, proofread, edit, and format correspondence and legal documents.
  • Coordinate calendars, meetings, and scheduling needs.
  • Organize both electronic and physical files and maintain matter documentation.
  • Prepare and assemble hard-copy materials for attorney review.
  • Exercise independent judgment regarding routine matters and outgoing communications.
  • Assist with litigation-related administrative tasks as needed.
  • Support practice areas including real estate, community association/HOA, corporate governance, and related legal matters.

Qualifications:

  • Prior legal assistant, legal administrative assistant, or executive assistant experience within a law firm environment required.
  • Litigation experience preferred but not required.
  • Experience supporting attorneys, partners, or executive-level professionals.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent proofreading and document formatting abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal office technology.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
