The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and thrives in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented legal settingResponsibilitiesMaintain trial and discovery calendars, ensuring deadlines are met, and documents are timely filedSchedule and coordinate hearings, depositions, legal proceedings, and meetingsAssist with attorney time entry and invoice processing using billing softwareOpen, organize, and maintain case files, ensuring documentation is up to date and accessibleDraft and prepare pleadings, correspondence, reports, motions, and discovery documents under attorney's directionReview and summarize medical records, contracts, and case evidence, and assist with preparing chronologies and summariesPrepare, issue, and track subpoenas and other legal requests for recordsPerform other litigation support duties as neededQualificationsMinimum 5 years of experience as a legal assistant supporting litigators in general liabilityNew Mexico State Court e‑filing experience requiredProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel); experience with WordPerfect a plusStrong written and verbal communication skillsHighly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to prioritize competing demandsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredPhysical DemandsThe role is primarily sedentary with regular use of office equipment.
