The firm handles high stakes injury matters, including industrial and workplace incidents, commercial trucking collisions, premises claims, medical negligence and wrongful death. It is known for trying cases when a fair resolution can’t be reached, and its attorneys include board certified trial specialists who take on cases that other firms turn down.

Job Details

Prepare, proofread and file pleadings, discovery requests and responses, and correspondence
Manage attorney calendars, court deadlines and case scheduling
Request, organize and summarize medical records and billing documentation
Communicate with clients, providers, insurers and opposing counsel in a professional, compassionate manner
Maintain accurate electronic case files and keep case management systems current
Help assemble trial exhibits, deposition materials and settlement packages
Handle new client intake and follow up on outstanding documentation

What you bring:

Two or more years of legal assistant or paralegal experience, ideally in plaintiff personal injury or civil litigation
Working knowledge of Texas court procedures and e-filing
Excellent written communication and attention to detail
Strong organization skills and the ability to juggle several active matters at once
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and a case management platform
A warm, steady communication style with injured clients and their families
Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree, or a paralegal certificate, preferred
