Job Description
Fusco Personnel is actively recruiting for a Legal Assistant to join our well-respected client in the Capital Region area. This is a full-time, contract-hire opportunity supporting their medical malpractice and insurance litigation practice.
Job Responsibilities
Track and manage medical records and discovery
Prepare discovery demands and subpoenas
Assist attorneys with trial preparation
Review and process incoming correspondence
Draft/format reports and legal documents
Monitor scheduling orders and case deadlines
Perform electronic filing (e-filing) in state and federal courts
Coordinate and manage case scheduling, including hearings, depositions, and deadlines
Review and summarize medical records
Front-end coverage when needed

Qualifications
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn legal software
Experience with legal software’s such as NetDocuments, Tabs, and Practice Master (plus)
