Overview The Legal Assistant provides administrative and operational support to attorneys and legal staff within a professional services environment. This role supports day to day workflow, document management, and client-related processes while maintaining a high level of organization, accuracy, and confidentiality.Key Responsibilities Support attorneys and legal professionals with administrative and clerical tasksManage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate appointmentsPrepare, proofread, and format correspondence and legal documentsOrganize and maintain electronic files, including consistent email and document filingAssist with document processing, tracking, and record upkeepSupport billing and expense-related activities, including invoice review and submissionsAssist with client onboarding, engagement materials, and conflict checksCoordinate travel arrangements and meeting logistics as neededTrack professional compliance items such as licenses, renewals, and continuing educationCore Skills and Abilities Highly organized with strong attention to detailProfessional, dependable, and accountableStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environmentComfortable handling confidential and sensitive informationAdaptable and responsive to changing prioritiesAble to work independently while supporting a team environmentRequired Qualifications Minimum three years of experience in a legal or administrative support roleStrong organizational and time management skillsExcellent proofreading and document formatting abilitiesAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft OfficeAbility to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracyDemonstrated discretion and sound judgmentPreferred Experience Prior experience supporting attorneys in a law firm or professional services settingLimited exposure to intellectual property or patent-related matters is a plus but not requiredFamiliarity with document management or timekeeping systemsExperience working with legal software platforms such as iManage or similarThe Phoenix Group Advisors is an equal opportunity employer.
