We're seeking motivated, detail-oriented Legal Assistants to support a growing collections law practice. These roles will support either Pre-Judgment or Post-Judgment teams and are ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented legal environment.
* Prepare, review, and process legal documents related to collections matters
* Support attorneys and legal staff with pre-judgment and post-judgment case management
* E-file pleadings and court documents
* Maintain accurate case notes and update client files
* Communicate professionally with courts, clients, employers, and consumers
* Process garnishments, subpoenas, payment arrangements, and judgment-related filings
* Monitor deadlines and ensure timely follow-up
* Provide administrative and clerical support as needed
* Prior legal assistant or collections law experience preferred
* Knowledge of Michigan court procedures is a plus
* Strong organizational and multitasking skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems (CLS preferred)
* Detail-oriented with strong follow-through
