The Administrative Support Team at Stanford Law School is looking for a full-time Legal Project Coordinator to join our vibrant administrative, academic, and legal services team. As the leading organizational unit, we work collaboratively with many departments within the Law School and externally to achieve a broad range of programmatic and academic goals. This diverse team has extensive skills, experience, and knowledge essential for providing comprehensive support options.
This position offers operational and administrative support to the Stanford Three Strikes Project, a nationally recognized criminal legal reform and litigation initiative based at Stanford Law School. The ideal candidate will work closely with a small team of attorneys to develop and manage strategic plans for programs that impact national public policy and criminal justice reform. This role reports to both the Deputy Director of the Justice Advocacy Project and the Associate Director of Administrative Support Services.
To excel in this role, you should possess strong research and presentation skills, be capable of independently managing research projects, and have a keen eye for detail. This position is well-suited for someone with excellent interpersonal skills who can effectively collaborate with various departments. You should be highly motivated, well-organized, and able to work autonomously while providing operational and administrative support for our criminal defense litigation, public policy, and prisoner reentry programs. Additionally, you must be comfortable engaging with incarcerated clients, government officials, community organizers, policy advisors, elected officials, and law enforcement officers.
