Litigation Legal Secretary

Support 4 litigation focused attorneys at a mid-sized firm. Annual raises, 25 days of PTO, and excellent benefits.

This law firm has been around for over 100 years and incredibly stable and has great collaboration across teams. This role is based in Stamford and is in office Mon-Fri.

Job Description

  • Prepare, edit, and format legal documents, correspondence, and reports with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Manage attorney calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings and court appearances.
  • File legal documents electronically and maintain organized case files.
  • Handle communication with clients, court personnel, and other external stakeholders professionally and promptly.
  • Track deadlines and ensure timely submission of legal filings and other required documents.
  • Assist with billing processes, including drafting invoices and tracking client accounts.
  • Perform general administrative duties such as answering calls, handling mail, and ordering office supplies.

The Successful Applicant

  • 3+ years of legal support experience, ideally supporting litigation attorneys.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with office software, including Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management systems.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all work.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
