Job Details

The Lemon Law Paralegal will support attorneys throughout the lifecycle of lemon law cases, including case intake, pre-litigation, discovery, litigation preparation, settlement, and case resolution. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of paralegal experience, preferably handling California lemon law or consumer warranty litigation, and can manage a busy caseload while maintaining accurate documentation, deadlines, and consistent communication with clients and opposing counsel.

This is an in-office position in Beverly Hills for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced legal environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and maintain lemon law case files from intake through settlement or resolution.
Assist with client intake, gather relevant documentation, and organize vehicle purchase or lease records, repair orders, service histories, warranties, and other supporting evidence.
Review and organize documents to evaluate case timelines, repair attempts, vehicle defects, and potential warranty claims.
Prepare and assist with drafting legal documents, pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, settlement demands, and correspondence.
Coordinate discovery, including document collection, production, tracking deadlines, and follow-up with clients and opposing counsel.
Maintain case calendars, monitor court and litigation deadlines, and ensure timely completion of case-related tasks.
Communicate professionally with clients to obtain documents, provide case updates, and assist with questions throughout the legal process.
Coordinate depositions, inspections, mediations, settlement conferences, and other litigation-related activities.
Assist attorneys with settlement negotiations, settlement documentation, and case closing procedures.
Maintain accurate electronic case files and update case management systems.
Provide general litigation and administrative support to attorneys as needed.

Qualifications

3+ years of paralegal experience in a law firm or legal practice.
Experience with California lemon law, consumer warranty claims, or consumer litigation strongly preferred.
Familiarity with California civil litigation procedures, discovery, pleadings, and court deadlines.
Strong document management, organization, and time-management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple cases and competing deadlines with minimal supervision.
Strong attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic case management systems.
Professional, client-focused demeanor and the ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
Ability to work full-time in person at the Beverly Hills office.
