    Job Description

    Job Summary**

    As a Level 1 P&C Relay Technician at Sparus Holdings, you will be responsible for assisting with the installation, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of protection and control (P&C) relays and associated equipment in substations and power systems. This entry-level role supports senior technicians in ensuring the reliable operation of critical electrical infrastructure.

    Job Responsibilities**

    * Assist senior technicians with the installation, wiring, and commissioning of various types of protection and control relays (e.g., overcurrent, differential, distance) and related equipment.
    * Perform basic functional checks and verification of relay settings under direct supervision.
    * Aid in routine maintenance activities, including visual inspections, cleaning, and minor repairs of P&C equipment.
    * Support troubleshooting efforts for relay-related issues, including identifying faulty components and verifying wiring integrity.
    * Collect and record test data accurately and meticulously.
    * Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and relay elementary diagrams.
    * Adhere to all safety protocols, company policies, and industry standards (e.g., NERC, IEEE).
    * Maintain tools and test equipment in good working condition.
    * Participate in training and development programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
    * Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding project status and technical issues.

    Job Qualifications**

    * High school diploma or GED required.
    * Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics Technology, or a related field preferred, or equivalent military experience.
    * Basic understanding of electrical principles, AC/DC circuits, and power systems.
    * Familiarity with common electrical testing equipment (e.g., multimeters, ammeters) is a plus.
    * Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals and diagrams.
    * Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
    * Excellent problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
    * Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    * Must possess a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record.
    * Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions and environments (e.g., substations, industrial settings).
    * Successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
