RN – OR (Level 3, Circulator) (Contract)

Location: New York 14456
Pay: $1,987 – $2,230/week
Contract Length: 16 weeks
Shift: Day Shift, 4x9s (06:30 AM / 07:30 AM – 03:30 PM / 04:30 PM), Mon–Fri

Position Summary & Responsibilities

• Function as an OR RN circulator across multiple surgical service lines

• Provide perioperative nursing care, ensuring patient safety and sterile technique

• Support procedures including ortho, general surgery, urology, ENT (peds), GI, spine, ophthalmology, and podiatry

• Collaborate with surgical teams to coordinate care and ensure efficient OR workflow

• Participate in on-call rotation (1 weekday/week and weekend rotation)

• Float to affiliated units (SSMH/GGH) as needed

Requirements

• Licensure: Active New York RN License – Required

• Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years OR experience – Required

  • Circulator experience – Required

  • Multi-service line experience – Preferred

• Certifications:

  • BLS (AHA/RQI) – Required

  • ACLS (AHA/RQI) – Required

  • PALS (AHA/RQI) – Required

  • Stroke Certification – Required

Additional Details

• On-call: 1 day/week (Mon–Thurs) + 3 weekend rotations every 4–6 weeks (Fri–Mon)

• Must be comfortable working independently when on-call

• Exposure to bloodborne pathogens possible
