TradeSTAR is seeking a Level II Commercial Audio/Visual Technician for a long-term opportunity with an established North Texas technology integrator.

You'll help bring modern technology to life in schools, corporate offices, healthcare facilities, and other commercial environments throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.

Every successful AV system starts with a solid installation. As a Level II AV Technician, you'll put your experience to work alongside skilled professionals while continuing to develop your technical abilities.

Here's what you'll be doing:

• Pulling, routing, labeling, and organizing commercial audio, video, and control cabling

• Installing and terminating speaker wiring, coaxial cable, and AV connections

• Mounting commercial displays, projectors, speakers, cameras, and related AV equipment

• Installing cable pathways, supports, and mounting hardware

• Assisting with AV equipment racks, cable management, and system integration

• Reading blueprints, floor plans, and installation drawings

• Assisting with equipment layouts and installation planning

• Performing basic testing, troubleshooting, and system maintenance

• Supporting system documentation, as-built drawings, and installation records

• Working with Lead Technicians and Project Managers to complete installations efficiently

• Helping less-experienced technicians develop proper installation techniques when needed

You'll have the opportunity to work on a variety of commercial AV installations, gaining experience with the equipment and systems that businesses and organizations rely on every day.

We're looking for someone who has moved beyond the basics and is comfortable taking on installation responsibilities with general supervision.

What we're looking for:

• At least 2 years of commercial AV or related low-voltage installation experience

• Experience pulling, identifying, labeling, and terminating low-voltage cabling

• Familiarity with commercial audio systems, displays, speakers, and AV equipment

• Ability to read and follow construction drawings and installation plans

• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and basic testing equipment

• Understanding of cable pathways, equipment mounting, and proper cable management

• Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

• Experience working safely on commercial construction sites, including ladders and lifts

• Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to jobsites throughout DFW

• Strong attendance, communication skills, and a team-oriented attitude
