The New Mexico Land Grant Council is looking for a Project Manager to join the team. The project manager will be responsible for coordinating and supporting multiple, smaller-scale projects and initiatives including: development of comprehensive plans and implementation of community and economic development projects for eligible land grant-mercedes; public policy review, analysis and development. Evaluates projects for conformance to established goals and objectives of the New Mexico Land Grant Council and UNM Land Grant-Merced Institute. Responsible for overall success of assigned projects through internal and external resource identification, coordination, and mobilization. This is a term position one year from date of hire, it has the ability to be renewed on a year-by-year basis as funding allows.
Coordinates and supports smaller-scale, multifaceted projects of intermediate complexity including community and economic development projects in land grant-merced communities.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor''s degree; at least 2 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Community Planning or related field
Demonstrated experience working with traditional communities in New Mexico, including land grants, acequias, Pueblos/Tribes.
Demonstrated experience working on legislative and administrative public policy matters in New Mexico.
A completed portfolio list and writing sample that closely align with land grants, acequias and/or tribal communities, as relevant to this position.
