Position: Library Information and Technology (LIT) Instructional Aide (7 hours/10 months)

Overview:
Library Information and Technology (LIT) Assistant supports the daily operations of a dynamic, technology-rich high school library. This role combines clerical, technical, and customer service duties to ensure efficient library services and a welcoming learning environment for a diverse student and staff population. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree preferred Strong organizational, communication, and collaborative skills Experience working with a diverse high school population comfortable with multiple operating systems, online databases, and productivity tools Knowledge of library systems, materials processing, and shelving practices Interest in or experience with librarianship is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
Library Support: Greet and monitor students and classes using the library Assist users in locating books, accessing resources, and using the online catalog Circulate materials using the library automation system Process new materials and manage weeding of outdated items Update the CRLS library calendar and monitor CRLS email communications Help create and promote book displays, bulletin boards, and other outreach Serve as Falcon Block Advisor and support the Inquiry Lab Maintain an organized, inviting physical environment Technology Assistance: Guide students and staff in using e-resources (databases, ebooks, audiobooks) Troubleshoot access to Google Workspace, network accounts, and other applications Manage and maintain library technology and media equipment Generate usage reports and support events with AV setup
