Our client is a nonprofit agency in downtown Chicago that provides a variety of mental health services to under-resourced children, adolescents, and families. Their areas of special expertise include prenatal substance exposure and trauma; and are currently in search of a full-time clinical psychologist or neuropsychologist to join the Evaluation Team. Early career professionals are welcome to apply! They are a National Health Services Corps site, which makes student loan repayment assistance a possibility for licensed clinicians. Key Responsibilities

1. Conduct assessment with children and adolescents in the context of comprehensive medical and neuropsychological evaluations

  • Review and generate appropriate referral questions
  • Conduct clinical interviews with caregivers, collateral sources (e.g., residential treatment staff; DCFS caseworkers), and clients
  • Review records and integrate information to choose appropriate, evidence-based measures
  • Administer, score, and interpret measures

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Illinois license and at least 2 years experience in the field
  • Experience with evidence-based assessment of children and adolescents (special emphasis on children and adolescents with trauma exposure)
  • Competence with evidence-based therapy approaches

Our ideal candidate will also have excellent verbal and written communication skills, good organizational skills, and a desire to learn and grow. A dedication to children and families with child welfare involvement would be ideal, as well.
