    We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Dietitian to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dietary systems, particularly within long-term care and geriatrics. This role involves assessing patient nutritional needs, developing personalized dietary plans, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to promote optimal health outcomes for patients. The Dietitian will play a crucial role in educating patients about nutrition and managing weight loss programs.

    Duties

    • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate dietary needs and preferences.
    • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans based on patient assessments.
    • Collaborate with the dietary department and other healthcare team members to ensure effective patient care.
    • Provide education to patients and families regarding nutrition, dietary restrictions, and healthy eating habits.
    • Stay updated on current research in dietetics, physiology, and nutritional science to provide evidence-based recommendations.
    • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary.
    • Document all patient interactions and dietary interventions accurately in the medical record systems.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors degree in Dietetics or related field; completion of an accredited dietetic internship preferred.
    • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential is required.
    • Experience in long-term care settings or geriatrics is highly desirable.
    • Knowledge of physiology related to nutrition and health is essential.
    • Familiarity with weight loss programs and dietary management strategies.
    • Strong communication skills for effective patient education and collaboration with healthcare teams.
    • Ability to assess patient needs accurately and develop appropriate dietary interventions.
    • Additional duties and hours not listed above may be required.
