Licensed Elevator Mechanic

A well established elevator service provider is seeking a Licensed Elevator Mechanic to support service, repair, and maintenance operations throughout the Chicago area. This role is ideal for a safety focused, customer oriented mechanic who delivers reliable, code compliant elevator service.

• Perform routine and corrective maintenance on elevator equipment

• Diagnose mechanical and basic electrical issues and complete necessary repairs

• Conduct safety checks, inspections, and performance evaluations

• Respond to service calls and troubleshoot equipment on site

• Document all work performed and maintain accurate service records

• Communicate clearly with customers and internal teams regarding findings and recommendations

• Follow all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout and job site safety procedures

• Licensed Elevator Mechanic (state recognized certification or equivalent)

• Experience in elevator service, repair, or maintenance

• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills

• Ability to work independently in the field

• Knowledge of elevator safety codes and industry standards

• Valid driver's license

• Ability to lift, climb, and work in confined spaces as needed

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Full time, Monday Friday
