The Opportunity
The Licensed Massage Therapist will be part of Yora's founding Massage team, helping prepare our treatment spaces and welcome our first guests when we open to the community in November 2026. This full-time role is anticipated to begin in late October 2026.

At Yora, massage is more than a treatment. Through professional expertise, thoughtful consultation and genuine care, you will create personalized experiences that help guests release tension, quiet their minds and experience Deep Restoration as part of their broader Nordic Spa journey.

Compensation
This role is paid a base wage for all hours worked, with an additional service fee for treatments performed. Combined earnings from the base wage and service fee range from $40 to $70 per service hour, plus gratuities. Actual service earnings vary based on the treatment performed.

What You Will Do

• Welcome each guest with warmth, professionalism and genuine attention.
• Complete thoughtful consultations to understand health information, treatment goals, preferences and individual needs.
• Personalize each treatment safely and within your professional scope of practice.
• Deliver massage treatments consistently within Yora's established protocols and professional standards.
• Protect guest privacy, dignity and confidentiality at all times.
• Begin and complete treatments according to established appointment times without compromising treatment quality.
• Maintain accurate consultation, treatment and billing documentation.
• Prepare, clean and reset treatment rooms efficiently between appointments.
• Follow all sanitation, infection-prevention, health and workplace-safety requirements.
• Provide thoughtful post-treatment and home-care guidance when it supports the guest's needs.
• Collaborate with Massage, Front Desk, Housekeeping and Spa leaders to create a seamless guest journey.
• Model Yora's values of Simple, Inclusive, Natural and Social in every interaction.

What You Bring

• A current, active and unrestricted Connecticut Massage Therapist license is required.
• Graduation from an accredited massage-therapy program and completion of applicable education and clinical requirements.
• Relevant professional massage-therapy experience in a spa, wellness or comparable setting.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, contraindications and applicable massage modalities.
• Excellent consultation, communication and guest-service skills.
• A strong commitment to professional ethics, privacy, boundaries and guest confidentiality.
• The ability to adapt treatments safely to individual guest needs and recognize concerns outside your scope of practice.
• A genuine passion for wellness, continuing professional development and exceptional guest care.

Schedule
This is a full-time, on-site position. The Licensed Massage Therapist must be available to work a flexible schedule that may include mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays based on guest demand and operational needs. Workdays may include consecutive treatments, and additional flexibility will be required during the pre-opening and opening periods.

Yora is currently finalizing its employee benefit plans. Specific coverage, eligibility requirements, employee contributions and plan terms will be shared during the recruitment process and will be governed by the applicable plan documents.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements
This is a physically active position involving prolonged standing; frequent bending, reaching and twisting; repetitive use of the hands, wrists, arms and shoulders; and the controlled application of pressure throughout scheduled treatments. The role may require adjusting massage tables and equipment and lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling linens, supplies and treatment materials, including lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Work is performed primarily indoors in treatment rooms and other spa areas. Employees may encounter massage oils and products, fragrances, cleaning and sanitation products, changing temperatures, humidity, steam, moisture and wet or slippery surfaces. The employee must be able to perform the essential functions safely, with or without reasonable accommodation.
