    Description

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and treatment planning.
    • Provide individual, group, and/or family therapy using evidence-based practices.
    • Deliver crisis intervention and safety planning as needed.
    • Maintain appropriate clinical documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) within required timeframes.
    • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans to ensure effective outcomes.
    • Work collaboratively with primary care providers, care coordinators, and other healthcare team members to support integrated behavioral health care.
    • Provide consultation to medical staff regarding behavioral health concerns and treatment recommendations.
    • Educate patients and families on mental health conditions, coping strategies, and treatment options.
    • Support referrals to specialty mental health, substance use services, community resources, or higher levels of care when needed.
    • Adhere to all federal and state regulations, including HIPAA, Rural Health Clinic requirements, and clinic policies.
    • Maintain active licensure and complete all mandated continuing education.
    • Uphold professional, ethical, and culturally sensitive standards of practice.

    • Excellent customer service skills; communicates clearly and effectively
    • Complete annual education requirements.
    • Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
    • Report to work on time and as scheduled.
    • Wear identification while on duty.
    • Maintain regulatory requirements, including all state, federal and local regulations.
    • Represent the organization in a positive and professional manner at all times.
    • Comply with all organizational policies.
    • Conduct oneself as a professional in accordance with PRIDE values.
    • Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.
    • Attend regular staff meetings and in-services.
    Job Requirements:
    • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field.
    • Active Iowa state licensure required (e.g., LISW, LMHC, LMFT, LPC, LCSW, or equivalent).
    • Ability to obtain credentialing with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans.
    • Strong therapeutic skills and experience working with diverse populations.
    • Proficient with electronic health record systems.
