Licensed Pharmacy Technician

Job Title: Pharmacy Floor Techncian (Evening/AM Shift)

Pay Rate: $21/hr (Paid Weekly)
Work Location: 281 SHORE DR, UNITS C AND D, Burr Ridge, IL
Contract to Hire: 09/14/2026 to 03/12/2027
Work Schedule:

• Monday – Friday: 6:30 PM – 3:00 AM
• Every Other Weekend: 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• Overtime and holiday work may be required based on business needs
• License Required: Active Illinois Pharmacy Technician License

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Pharmacy Floor Technician to support daily pharmacy fulfillment operations. The Pharmacy Floor Technician will pick, label, scan, package, and prepare prescription orders for final verification by a pharmacist.

The ideal candidate will be able to work efficiently while maintaining accuracy and following pharmacy procedures, safety requirements, and applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Pick, label, scan, and otherwise prepare finished prescriptions for final pharmacist verification.
• Fill daily drug orders accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner under pharmacist supervision.
• Pull medications from shelving, prepack racks, and other designated medication storage areas.
• Apply labels to blister cards and scan products for accuracy.
• Alert the pharmacist on duty when a medication or product does not scan properly.
• Process returned medications and recycle or dispose of products according to established procedures.
• Prepack frequently ordered medications during lower-volume periods; label and store products appropriately.
• Manually package medications, materials, and other pharmacy products.
• Maintain designated workstations and replenish required supplies.
• Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA requirements.
• Comply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Active and clear Illinois Pharmacy Technician License issued by the Illinois Board of Pharmacy.
• Ability to work at a moderate pace while maintaining accuracy.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established pharmacy procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous pharmacy technician experience.
• Experience with prescription fulfillment, medication packaging, or pharmacy operations.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, stoop, bend, and walk intermittently throughout the day.
• Ability to sit or stand for approximately 7–10 hours per day.
• Ability to work extended hours when needed.
• Finger dexterity to operate office and pharmacy equipment.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
• Visual acuity to see and read fine print.
• Ability to perform close-vision and color-vision tasks and adjust focus.
• Ability to hear normal voice sounds.
