Pharmacy Floor Technician
Pay Rate: $20/hr (Paid Weekly)
Work Location: 2747 W GRAND PKWY N, Katy, TX, 77449

Contract to Hire: 08/31/2026 to 11/30/2026 (Change upon hire / Contract to Hire 3 Months)
Schedule: This position requires flexibility to work alternating opening and closing weeks, as well as every other weekend:
- Week 1: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Week 2: 11:30 AM–8:30 PM
- Every Other Weekend: Saturday & Sunday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Overtime and holiday coverage may be required based on business needs.
- License Required: Active Texas Pharmacy Technician License
Position Overview
The Pharmacy Floor Technician supports daily pharmacy fulfillment operations by accurately picking, labeling, scanning, packaging, and preparing prescription orders for final verification by a pharmacist. This position works in a fast-paced environment and is responsible for maintaining accuracy, productivity, and an organized pharmacy workspace.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick and fill prescription orders accurately and efficiently under pharmacist supervision.
- Retrieve medications from shelving, pre-pack racks, and designated storage areas.
- Apply labels to blister cards and scan products to verify accuracy.
- Alert the pharmacist when medications or products do not scan correctly.
- Prepack frequently ordered medications, apply labels, and properly store products.
- Manually package medications, materials, and pharmacy products.
- Process returned medications and recycle or dispose of products according to established procedures.
- Maintain designated workstations and replenish necessary supplies, including labels and packaging materials.
- Follow all applicable federal, state, and company regulations, including HIPAA requirements.
- Follow departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, security, and dress code.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current, clear, and active Texas Pharmacy Technician License issued by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
- Ability to work at a moderate pace while maintaining accuracy and quality.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including alternating shifts, weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous pharmacy technician experience.
- Experience in a retail, mail-order, fulfillment, or pharmacy production environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, stoop, bend, and walk throughout the workday.
- May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of approximately 7–10 hours per day.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Good finger dexterity for operating equipment and handling medications and packaging materials.
- Ability to see and read fine print and labels, including close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to hear normal voice sounds.
- Ability to work extended hours as business needs require.
