Pharmacy Technician (Contract Position)

Location: 140 Southcenter Ct, Suite 600, Morrisville, NC 27560
Pay Rate: $24.00 per hour. Weekly Pay.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM, plus every 3rd weekend
Contract Duration: Through April 30, 2027

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Pharmacy Technician to join a busy long-term care (LTC) pharmacy team in Morrisville, NC. This is a contract opportunity supporting the preparation and fulfillment of prescription orders for long-term care facilities. The ideal candidate will have prior pharmacy experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare prescription orders by verifying information and selecting appropriate medications from inventory.
• Accurately label, scan, package, and sort prescription orders into designated bins for distribution.
• Communicate inventory needs to ensure an adequate supply of medications is available at all times.
• Assist with inventory management, including removing expired medications, marking opened containers, and maintaining organized stock levels.
• Consistently meet established productivity and accuracy standards.
• Collaborate with pharmacy staff and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of orders.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Restock medications and pharmacy supplies as needed.
• Comply with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to the dispensing of prescription medications.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted North Carolina Pharmacy Technician License.
• Active PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) or NHA (National Healthcareer Association) Pharmacy Technician Certification.
• Previous pharmacy experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a long-term care (LTC) pharmacy setting.
• National certification through PTCB or NHA (if not already required by state licensing requirements).
• Proven ability to maintain high productivity and accuracy standards.
