The Lutheran Home is seeking a dedicated full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. This position offers a predictable two-week schedule and the opportunity to provide exceptional care across our healthcare community. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Provide skilled professional nursing care as prescribed by the physician, in compliance with State Board of Nursing regulations and Lutheran Home policies
Obtain and relay necessary information from the off-going nurse for resident care and follow-up
Verify narcotic/controlled medication counts
Give daily report/instructions and assigning tasks for nursing assistants
Monitor dining rooms during mealtimes to ensure proper diet and assistance for residents
Administer and document medications and resident care as ordered by physicians
Supervise and delegate tasks to CNAs, and assist in training new staff
Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents and document care plans accordingly
Perform and document admissions, transfers, and discharges as needed
Observe residents for changes in condition and report to physicians, families and nursing staff
Obtain and update physician orders as necessary
Provide education to residents and families on medical issues, including disease process, medications, and safety
Respond quickly to emergencies, initiating life-saving measures when needed
Address resident, family, or physician concerns, and report issues to the Unit Manager or Shift Supervisor
Promote a positive team culture built on respect and open communication
In this full-time role, you’ll follow a consistent two-week schedule, working 7 out of 14 days with a three-day weekend every other week.
Available shifts include:
Day shift: 6:45 am to 7:15 pm
Night shift: 6:45 pm to 7:15 am

Education Requirements:
Current unrestricted LPN license in the State of Missouri (or eligibility for licensure)
CPR certification
Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred
