This amazing LPN must:
· Provides direct patient care, assists with care for patients of others (as needed),
· Makes patient care assignments to other staff members on duty
· Responsible for the care delivered by the nursing staff under his/her direction during the shift for which (s)he is on duty.
· Communicates effectively all relevant information (e.g., patient information, safety issues, problems with equipment, quality issues, etc.) to immediate supervisor, in timely way.
· Communicates and documents changes in patient condition, on a timely basis, to charge nurse/supervisor and physician.
· Interprets, implements and enforces all facility policies and procedures
· Assigns responsibility for the direct care of residents
· Supervises the CNA staff
· Obtains and administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques.
· Observes patient, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies resident family and physician informed of any changes in resident behavior, medications, or conditions of health.
· Licensed Practical Nurse â LPN with current state license required
· Minimum of (1) one year experience preferred.
· Current CPR certification
· Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills in the nursing process necessary for those patients requiring the expertise of a professional registered nurse.
· Copy of updated Physical, based on state requirements
· Copy of updated TB results/ Chest x-ray
· Must be able to work any shift as needed and be flexible with scheduling requirements.
