Cooweescoowee Health Center is seeking a qualified Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide nursing support and patient care in an outpatient healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will assist healthcare providers with clinical procedures, patient assessments, medication reconciliation, documentation, and follow-up care while maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring patient safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Obtain and document patient vital signs.
• Administer intramuscular (IM) and subcutaneous (SubQ) injections.
• Document patient medical histories and maintain accurate clinical records.
• Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs).
• Conduct diabetic foot examinations.
• Assist providers with Well-Woman Exams and birth control device procedures.
• Perform medication reconciliation and verify medication histories.
• Apply splints as directed by the healthcare provider.
• Contact patients to communicate test results according to established protocols.
• Assist healthcare providers with examinations and routine clinical procedures.
• Follow infection control practices, patient safety standards, and facility policies.

Required Qualifications

• Current and valid Oklahoma LPN license or Compact LPN license.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Ability to perform the clinical duties listed above.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in an outpatient or ambulatory care setting.
• Experience using Cerner electronic medical records (EMR).
