Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Outpatient Clinic

Location: Syracuse, New York 13202
Contract Duration: 14 Weeks
Schedule: Monday – Friday | Day Shift
Hours: 08:00 AM – 04:30 PM

Compensation

  • Local Pay: Up to $35/hour (Based on Experience)
  • Travel Pay: Up to $40/hour (Based on Experience)

Position Overview

A leading healthcare organization in Syracuse, New York is seeking an experienced and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a 14-week outpatient clinic assignment. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with strong clinical skills and prior experience in outpatient or acute care environments.

The LPN will work closely with physicians, nurses, and clinical staff to provide high-quality patient care, support clinical operations, and ensure efficient patient flow within a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and escort patients for examinations and clinical procedures
  • Obtain and document vital signs, patient history, and clinical updates
  • Assist physicians and clinical staff during exams and treatments
  • Administer injections and support routine clinical procedures
  • Prepare examination rooms, treatment trays, and medical supplies
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in clinical areas
  • Coordinate referrals, prior authorizations, and patient scheduling
  • Communicate effectively with insurance providers and healthcare offices
  • Accurately document patient information using EMR systems
  • Monitor and report patient responses to treatments and procedures
  • Support daily clinic workflow and patient care operations
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality standards

Required Qualifications

  • Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
  • Minimum 1 year of outpatient or acute care experience preferred
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems preferred
  • Strong patient care and clinical assessment skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication, multitasking, and organizational skills
  • Experience with injections, vital signs, and routine clinical procedures
  • Professional attitude with strong teamwork abilities
