The Lutheran Home is hiring Part-Time Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our resident-centered care team. Available Shifts:
Part-Time scheduled shifts, including weekend coverage
4-hour morning and evening shifts available
Standard shift options available within part-time scheduling structure
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Provide skilled nursing care in accordance with physician orders, Missouri State Board of Nursing regulations, and Lutheran Home policies
Receive and provide shift report, ensuring accurate communication of resident status and care needs
Verify narcotic and controlled medication counts with the oncoming/off-going nurse per facility policy
Give daily report/ instruction and completes assignment sheet for nursing assistants
Monitor dining rooms during mealtimes to ensure residents are receiving proper diet and assistance as necessary
Complete comprehensive resident assessments and document findings accurately
Administer and document medications, treatments, and all resident care provided
Perform admission, transfer, and discharge procedures and documentation
Observe, document, and report changes in resident condition to physicians, families, and nursing leadership
Obtain and carry out physician orders and updates to treatment plans as needed
Educate residents and families regarding medications, disease processes, diet, safety, and other care needs as appropriate
Respond to changes in condition or emergencies and initiate appropriate interventions, including life-saving measures when required
Listen to and address resident or family concerns, escalating issues to supervisory staff as needed
Requirements:
Current unrestricted LPN license in the State of Missouri (or eligibility for licensure)
Previous long-term care experience is helpful but not required
CPR certification required
