1:1 School Based Licensed Practical Nurse LPN
with Interim Healthcare of NEPA
Supporting a student in the Hazelton, PA Area
Specialty: General Personal Care, Medications, and Epilepsy
Salary up to $33 per hour
Monday through Friday, follow district schedule
average 6.5 to 8 hour days
transportation to and from school

Essential Functions for the School Based Licensed Practical Nurse:
- Provide Direct Medical Care: Administer Medications, Perform Health Procedures, and Respond to Medical Emergencies for Students with Chronic or Acute Health Needs.
- Develop and Implement Health Plans: Create and Maintain Individualized Health Care Plans (IHPS) and Emergency Action Plans (IEPs) in Collaboration with Educators and Families.
- Monitor Student Health Needs: Track and Assess Students' Physical and Emotional Health, Especially Those with Disabilities or Special Medical Conditions.
- Educate on Health and Hygiene: Teach Students Basic Hygiene, Self-care, and Life Skills Related to Health, Tailored to Developmental and Cognitive Levels.
- Support Special Education Teams: Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) Meetings and Provide Health-related Input for Students' Educational Planning.
- Promote a Safe and Inclusive Environment: Ensure the Classroom Is Safe and Accessible, Train Staff on Health Protocols, and Advocate for Students' Health-related Needs.
Minimum Requirements for the School Based Licensed Practical Nurse LPN:
- Current Nursing License in the State of Pa
- Minimum One (1) Year Pediatric Experience
- Minumum One (1) Year long term care or similar experience
- CPR certification
- Valid Driver's License
- Willing to Undergo Pre-employment Screenings (which includes drug testing, various background checks, etc) and able to lift up to 50 pounds.
