Animal Samaritans is a nonprofit animal welfare organization dedicated to improving the lives of animals and the people who love them. We are currently seeking a compassionate, skilled, and team-oriented Full-Time Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our growing veterinary team.

Position Summary
Our Registered Veterinary Technicians perform a wide range of clinical and client care duties in a fast-paced veterinary environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative setting and is committed to delivering high-quality medical care with compassion and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians with exams and treatments
- Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical procedures
- Perform dental prophylaxis and dental radiographs
- Prepare patients for surgery and treatment
- Collect and process laboratory samples
- Provide hospitalized patient care and monitoring
- Take and process radiographs (x-rays)
- Administer medications and treatments
- Perform laser treatments
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding patient care
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Utilize proper animal handling and restraint techniques
- Support daily hospital operations and teamwork initiatives
Qualifications
- Current Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license or eligible to become certified
- Minimum of 2 years of veterinary technician experience preferred
- Emergency or specialty medicine experience is a plus
- Strong communication and client service skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and computer skills
- Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented attitude
- Willingness to continue learning and pursuing professional development
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry 40 pounds or more
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch for extended periods
- Flexibility to work occasional weekends and varying shifts based on hospital needs
