    Job Description

    Summary

    Our client is seeking a Licensed Surveyor to perform and oversee a variety of land surveying activities for commercial, civil, and utility construction projects. This individual will be responsible for conducting vertical and horizontal control surveys, boundary surveys, associated calculations, and ties to subdivisions, property lines, and government land corners. The ideal candidate will lead survey crews, ensure the accuracy of survey data and calculations, assist with complex field work, and serve as the primary liaison between the design and survey teams throughout the project lifecycle.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Perform and oversee vertical and horizontal control surveys, boundary surveys, and construction surveys.
    • Complete survey calculations, computations, and ties to subdivisions, property lines, and government land corners.
    • Direct and supervise survey crews and technicians in both the field and office.
    • Review and certify survey data, calculations, and project deliverables.
    • Assist with field work on complex surveying projects as needed.
    • Coordinate survey crews, technicians, and project schedules to ensure timely completion.
    • Prepare plats, legal descriptions, survey reports, and related documentation.
    • Serve as the primary liaison between the design and survey teams.
    • Ensure compliance with Arizona surveying regulations, company standards, and industry best practices.
    • Utilize surveying software and equipment to produce accurate and reliable survey results.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Active Professional Land Surveyor (PLS/RLS) license in the State of Arizona is required.
    • Bachelor's degree preferred, or a two-year technical degree with a minimum of five years of experience working as or with a Licensed Surveyor.
    • Experience in utility and/or general construction surveying is preferred.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Windows operating systems.
    • Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or Carlson software is preferred.
    • Experience with Trimble products, Trimble Business Center (TBC), R12s, and TSC-7 equipment is a plus.
    • Strong knowledge of surveying methods, procedures, and techniques, including optical, electronic, magnetic, and mechanical measuring devices.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and project management skills.
    • Ability to work outdoors and support survey field crews as needed.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
    • Valid driver's license.
