The Opportunity
A well-established behavioral health and addiction treatment organization is seeking a Lead Weekend Therapist to join its clinical team. This is a meaningful opportunity to provide compassionate, evidence-based care to individuals working toward recovery from substance use and addiction, within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment.

The Role
As a Lead Weekend Therapist, you'll deliver individual, group, and family counseling to patients navigating alcohol and drug dependency. Working alongside a team of healthcare professionals, you'll guide patients through assessment, treatment planning, and aftercare, while equipping them and their families with the tools for lasting recovery.

What You'll Do

• Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized treatment and aftercare plans, incorporating input from family and support networks
• Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions, including morning focus, community meetings, and psychoeducational lectures
• Provide patient and family education on addiction, recovery, and relapse prevention
• Perform crisis intervention, including de-escalation and management of high-risk situations
• Present patient cases to the multidisciplinary team and maintain current documentation
• Assume case management responsibilities and connect patients with community resources
• Maintain accurate, timely records in the EMR, meeting all program and documentation standards

What We're Looking For

• Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field
• Licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or a Certified Addiction Professional (CAP) designation, preferred
• At least one year of experience working directly with patients in a therapist or counselor role, strongly preferred
• Background in behavioral health or chemical dependency, strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of the DSM-V, the disease concept of addiction, and DAP documentation
• Familiarity with Joint Commission and DCF requirements and HIPAA regulations
• Strong crisis-intervention, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
• Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office
