Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate Licensed Veterinarian Technician to join the team at our private, independently-owned, progressive small animal clinic. We have a full-time opportunity for an experienced LVT to join our team! Veterinary Technician responsibilities include assisting the Veterinarian with surgeries and procedures, coordinating animal care, and monitoring animal recovery. You will work closely with the entire clinic staff to ensure the health and well-being of all of our pet patients. Responsibilities 
  • Triage pets as they arrive at the clinic
  • Interview pet owners to obtain a patient history
  • Take vital signs and acquire blood samples
  • Calculate drug dosages per veterinarian instruction and assist with surgeries and monitoring animals during surgical procedures
  • Adeptly perform procedures including catheterization, intubation, ultrasound-guided cystocentesis, dental prophylaxis, and digital radiographs
  • Administer medications and provide at-home dosage instructions for clients
  • Keep accurate patient records
Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of previous experience as a Veterinary Technician is required
  • LVT licensure is required
  • CPR trained and certified
  • Knowledge of animal care and handling
  • Team player with excellent written and communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and remain organized in a busy environment
  • Patience, compassion, and a love for animals
  • Fear-free training and experience is desired
