In this role, you will provide essential nursing services to residents with a variety of clinical needs, ensuring their comfort, safety, and dignity. This position offers a rare balance of high-acuity skill application—such as tracheostomy and enteral care—with the stability of guaranteed hours and a predictable rotating schedule.

Key Duties:

  • Direct Patient Care: Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care, including medication administration, specialized treatments, and patient education.

  • Specialized Clinical Support: Manage complex needs including gastrostomy tubes (enteral feedings), foley catheter care, and tracheostomy care.

  • Documentation & Technology: Perform accurate computer-based charting and data entry, maintaining strict compliance with clinical and regulatory standards.

  • Collaborative Practice: Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless continuity of care and the achievement of resident health goals.

  • Safety & Advocacy: Act as a vigilant advocate for resident health, recognizing changes in condition and responding with clinical precision.

Required Qualifications

  • Licensure: Active LVN license in the state of Texas.

  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of direct patient care experience (2+ years preferred).

  • Technical Skills: Proven experience with:

    • Gastrostomy tubes and enteral feedings.

    • Foley catheter care.

    • Tracheostomy care.

  • Attributes: A dependable, detail-oriented approach with the ability to adapt to a dynamic care environment.

Desired Qualifications

  • Clinical Confidence: Ability to manage multiple patient needs independently while functioning as a supportive team member.

  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with residents, families, and staff.

  • Tech Savvy: Comfortable with digital health records (full training will be provided for specific systems).
