    Description

    Duties of Agency nurse

    • Administers medications and treatments orally, rectally, internally, or by injection.
    • Performs technical Nursing procedures according to facility and state regulations after demonstration for competency
    • Documents and reports pertinent observations.
    • Communicates orally and in writing to other team members pertinent information. Documents according to facility policy.
    • Responds to emergency situations to ensure the safety of individuals. Follows safety and Infection Control Procedures of the facility.
    • Monitors individuals for treatments and procedures.
    • Collects specimens for laboratory examination and conducts appropriate screening tests (after competency is documented) when requested by lab personnel.
    • Provides education to individuals with specific health goals.
    • LVN II assists other staff in turning/repositioning individuals to administer treatments.
    • Ensures that supplies are available.
    • Manages individuals' medical records in an Electronic Health Record or paper chart.
    1. Attends work on a regular basis and may be required to work a specific shift schedule or, at times, even a rotating schedule, extended shift, and/or overtime in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned.

    Job Requirements for all candidates:

    Licensed to practice as a licensed vocational nurse in the state of Texas (or a state that recognizes reciprocity through the Nurse Licensure Compact).

    • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
    • Demonstrated computer & electronic health record skills preferred.

    Current Open Shifts: (Subject to change):

    • LVNs/LPNs – 6 available positions
    • 40-hours/week;
