Job Description
  • Stakeholder Alignment: Act as the primary on-site liaison for owners, architects, and engineers to ensure seamless daily communication and operational alignment.
  • Master Scheduling: Develop, implement, and manage the master project schedule; identify the critical path and expedite long-lead materials and equipment for timely delivery.
  • Subcontractor Management: Review, mitigate, and resolve subcontractor schedule impacts, logistics conflicts, and productivity claims.
  • Field Operations & Logistics: Direct daily site operations, making key decisions regarding logistics, quality control, trade sequencing, and optimal staffing levels.
  • Issue Resolution & RFIs: Proactively document field issues affecting budget, quality, or timeline, and draft precise RFIs to clarify design elements and plans.
  • Trade Coordination: Oversee all trade contractors to foster a highly coordinated, efficient field operation; resolve local site challenges regarding design clarifications, equipment, and labor.
  • Compliance & Administrative: Ensure all required project permits and insurance policies are secured and remain current throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Financial Stewardship: Assist in managing General Conditions to maintain strict budget compliance and maximize project profitability.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor ongoing work to guarantee all installations strictly comply with and conform to approved contract documents and specifications.
  • Leadership Culture: Lead with trust and respect for all partners while actively challenging and developing the capabilities of the field team.

The Successful Applicant
  • Industry Experience: 5+ years of progressive commercial building construction experience.
  • Sector Familiarity: Prior experience with Light Industrial or Manufacturing projects is a strong plus but not required.
  • Project Comprehension: Thorough knowledge of general contracts, subcontracts, blueprints, and engineering specifications. Solid understanding of construction means/methods, materials, and line/grade/survey techniques.
  • Technology: Proficient with Procore project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Leadership & Administrative Capabilities
  • Team Development: Proven ability to mentor and elevate field staff by strategically assigning growth opportunities ("stretch assignments") alongside the necessary support.
  • Communication & People Skills: Strong management, leadership, and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate articulately both verbally and in writing.
  • Financial Acumen: Practical knowledge of construction cost control and basic project accounting procedures.
  • Work Style: Highly independent professional capable of managing responsibilities autonomously.
Safety & Physical Requirements
  • Credentials: Active OSHA 30-Hour safety certification, a valid driver's license, and up-to-date auto insurance.
  • Environmental Adaptability: Comfort working in both indoor and outdoor job site environments, with exposure to all seasonal weather conditions.
  • Physical Capability: Ability to occasionally lift, push, pull, and carry construction materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
