[About the Role]

Join our team as a 2nd-Shift Facility Maintenance Technician (Contractor) at our Chelmsford, MA micro-electronics manufacturing site. You'll play a crucial part in ensuring smooth plant and office operations through hands-on maintenance and facility support. This is a full-time night shift position (Monday-Thursday, 2:30 PM-1:00 AM) offering a dynamic environment with potential for long-term or full-time advancement based on performance.

[Responsibilities]

• Perform facility upkeep and basic repairs across plant and office areas
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing issues
• Execute work orders and follow general instructions for maintenance tasks
• Conduct routine inspections and accurately log completed work
• Provide limited janitorial support, including trash removal and floor cleaning, as needed
• Support multiple buildings within the Chelmsford site and beyond as required
• Maintain compliance with safety protocols and use of PPE

[Required Skills and Experience]

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 2 years experience in facility maintenance and general repairs
• Proficient with hand and power tools, and basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and perform physically demanding tasks
• Demonstrated critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance (interim clearance required to start)
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently

[Preferred Skills]

• Trade certification or 1-2 years hands-on maintenance experience
• Familiarity with manufacturing environments
• Experience with HVAC and advanced troubleshooting
