Job Description

We are seeking an experienced LIHTC Attorney with 7+ years of experience to join an established affordable housing practice in a Partner-level role. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with substantial Low-Income Housing Tax Credit experience who is interested in taking the next step in their career with a sophisticated national practice.

The Opportunity

  • Advise clients on complex affordable housing and LIHTC transactions
  • Handle sophisticated tax credit financing and development matters
  • Structure and negotiate transactions involving affordable housing developments
  • Work with developers, investors, lenders, syndicators, and other stakeholders
  • Draft and negotiate complex transactional documents
  • Advise clients regarding federal and state affordable housing requirements
  • Take a leadership role in sophisticated transactions and client relationships
  • Opportunity to grow within an established practice without an existing book of business requirement

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • 7+ years of legal experience
  • Significant Low-Income Housing Tax Credit experience
  • Strong transactional background
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage sophisticated transactions independently
  • Strong client communication and relationship-building skills
  • New York admission preferred, though attorneys throughout the Northeast may be considered

  • $305,000+ base compensation, commensurate with experience
