Position Overview

Stand-By Personnel is seeking 2 dependable and hardworking Line Cooks for food service opportunities in Wyandotte, Oklahoma. These positions involve preparing and cooking meals, maintaining food quality standards, and supporting daily kitchen operations in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates should have previous cooking, restaurant, or commercial kitchen experience and be comfortable preparing meals according to established recipes and food safety procedures.

The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, good time-management skills, and the ability to work efficiently with other kitchen personnel to ensure timely meal service.

Previous cooking or restaurant kitchen experience is preferred.

Both first- and second-shift opportunities are available, offering $16.01 per hour.

Required Experience & Qualifications

Previous experience as a Line Cook, Prep Cook, Restaurant Cook, or Commercial Kitchen Worker is preferred.

Candidates should have a basic understanding of cooking techniques, food preparation procedures, and commercial kitchen operations.

Knowledge of proper food handling, sanitation, and food safety practices is important.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow recipes, preparation instructions, and established quality standards are essential.

Candidates must be comfortable multitasking and maintaining consistent productivity in a fast-paced kitchen.

Good communication skills, teamwork, and the ability to follow supervisor instructions are required.

Dependable attendance, punctuality, and availability for the assigned shift are essential.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes, preparation instructions, and food quality standards.

Assist with daily food preparation, including gathering ingredients, preparing cooking stations, and organizing kitchen supplies.

Monitor cooking times, food quality, and preparation procedures to maintain consistent meal service.

Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary workstations throughout the shift.

Follow established food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures.

Stock ingredients, supplies, and kitchen materials as needed to support daily operations.

Work closely with other kitchen personnel to coordinate meal preparation and ensure food is ready on time.

Manage multiple cooking and food preparation tasks while maintaining quality and efficiency.

Clean cooking equipment, utensils, and work surfaces according to established sanitation procedures.

Follow all company safety requirements and perform additional kitchen and food service responsibilities as assigned.

Line Cooking & Meal Preparation

Candidates will prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and kitchen standards.

Responsibilities include following cooking instructions, maintaining consistent food quality, and completing meal preparation efficiently.

Previous experience working on a restaurant line or in a commercial kitchen is valuable.

Candidates should be comfortable preparing multiple food items while maintaining accuracy and quality.

Food Safety & Sanitation

Maintain proper food handling and sanitation procedures throughout the workday.

Responsibilities include keeping cooking stations clean, following safe food storage and preparation practices, and maintaining sanitary equipment and work areas.

Candidates must understand the importance of food safety and follow all applicable kitchen procedures.

Kitchen Organization & Teamwork

Work closely with other Line Cooks and kitchen personnel to maintain efficient meal preparation and service.

Responsibilities include stocking supplies, organizing ingredients, preparing workstations, and assisting coworkers during busy periods.

Strong teamwork, communication, and time-management skills are essential.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience as a Line Cook, Prep Cook, Restaurant Cook, Kitchen Associate, or Commercial Food Service Worker is preferred.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

This is a physically active position in a commercial kitchen environment.

Candidates must maintain awareness of kitchen safety procedures and follow all required sanitation and food handling practices.

Available Shifts

1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Pay: $16.01 per hour for both shifts.

Two positions are available. Candidates should indicate their preferred shift when applying.
