About Josie’s Table:
Josie’s Table is a chef-driven, farm-to-table fine dining restaurant located in Albany, NY. Our mission is to celebrate seasonal, locally sourced ingredients through creative, elevated dishes that honor both the land and the farmers behind it.
We are looking for a passionate, skilled Line Cook to join our back-of-house team. This is an opportunity to work with high-quality, fresh ingredients and be part of a collaborative kitchen that values craft, consistency, and professionalism.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and execute dishes according to Josie’s Table’s standards of quality and presentation
Set up and maintain a clean, organized station during service
Follow prep lists and recipes accurately and efficiently
Work closely with the sous chef and executive chef to ensure smooth service and proper timing
Maintain a safe, sanitary work environment in compliance with health regulations
Participate in daily prep, cleaning, and kitchen closing responsibilities
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in a professional kitchen (fine dining or farm-to-table experience preferred)
Strong knife skills and a solid understanding of cooking techniques
Ability to work quickly, cleanly, and with attention to detail under pressure
Team-oriented mindset with a strong work ethic and good communication skills
Passion for seasonal ingredients and sustainable cooking practices
Reliable transportation and availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
