The Sammie Slinger (Line Cook) is the heart of our made-from-scratch kitchen, turning simple, local ingredients into food people come back for. You'll handle knives, cook eggs, follow recipes with confidence, and keep your station clean and humming. Every task, big or small, helps create a welcoming experience for our guests.

This is a morning and lunch position that requires Friday and Saturday availability. The shifts typically run 8am-4pm with at least one open shift This position does not involve working nights and can be a full-time or part-time position (based on candidates preference) and can range 25-35 hours per week.

What You'll Do

• Prepare menu items from scratch, following recipes and standards
• Cook eggs and breakfast items to order, every time
• Handle basic knife work: slicing, dicing, chopping vegetables and some meats
• Portion, plate, and package food, including Grab & Go items
• Make sauces, dressings, and condiments as directed
• Follow food safety standards, including temperature logs and proper storage
• Wash dishes, sanitize equipment, and keep your station clean all shift
• Help the team hold onto our “A” health department scores
• Jump in wherever help is needed: no task is beneath anyone

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 30lbs
• Must be able to traverse and access all parts of the kitchen and storage areas
• Prolonged periods of standing
• Must be able to work in a kitchen environment that may involve exposure to extreme heat or cold

Pay

• Position starts at $12-$14/hour +tips (tips average $11/hour in addition to hourly)
