Schedule:
Monday- Sunday 6 am to 6 pm rotating schedule 4 5 days a week
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals according to standardized recipes, menus, and dietary guidelines.
- Set up and operate the trayline, ensuring each tray is accurately assembled per dietary tickets or menus.
- Serve food items during trayline operation, ensuring correct portion sizes and presentation.
- Monitor food temperatures and maintain logs in accordance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with dietary aides and kitchen staff to ensure timely meal delivery.
- Clean and sanitize workstations, equipment, and trayline areas according to health codes.
- Ensure allergen control and dietary restriction compliance during tray assembly.
- Assist with receiving and storing food supplies as needed.
- Communicate any issues with food quality, equipment, or supply shortages to the supervisor promptly.
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation policies and procedures.
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in food preparation or institutional cooking, preferably in a healthcare or cafeteria setting.
- Knowledge of dietary restrictions and food safety standards (e.g., HACCP).
- Ability to read and interpret diet cards, recipes, and production sheets.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
