Position Summary:
We’re seeking a reliable, experienced Line Cook who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen and takes pride in preparing high-quality soul food. This role requires speed, consistency, and a strong sense of teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations
- Assist with prep work, plating, and kitchen tasks as needed
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen team and front-of-house staff
- Adapt quickly to busy rushes and large catering orders
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of experience in a fast-paced kitchen (soul food or catering experience a plus!)
- Ability to follow recipes and take direction
- Strong sense of urgency and time management
- Comfortable working in a team and under pressure
- Must be dependable, punctual, and professional
- Food handler’s certification (or willing to obtain)
