    Company Description Cascade Manor is Eugene’s only accredited continuing care retirement community, offering a full spectrum of services for older adults, including independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, and in-home care. The community provides a variety of health and wellness programs designed to support residents’ physical, emotional, and social well-being. The community is managed by Pacific Retirement Services, a respected provider of senior living and care services in the region.\n
    Role Description The Line Cook is a full-time, on-site role based in Eugene, OR, responsible for preparing and cooking menu items according to established recipes and standards. Day-to-day tasks include setting up and stocking stations, performing basic food preparation, cooking meals to order, and ensuring proper portioning and presentation. The Line Cook maintains a clean and organized work area, follows all food safety and sanitation procedures, and assists with inventory, storage, and rotation of ingredients. This role works closely with the culinary team to support meal service for residents and guests, including occasional special events, and may help with dish-up, plating, and coordination with servers to ensure timely service.\n

    • Strong culinary skills, including basic cooking techniques, knife handling, and ability to follow standardized recipes.

    • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and compliance with health department regulations.

    • Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize during peak service times.

    • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate respectfully with chefs, servers, and other team members.

    • Reliable time management and organizational abilities, including punctuality and consistent attendance.
    • \n
    • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to moderate weights, and work safely with kitchen equipment.

    • Previous line cook or professional kitchen experience preferred; experience in senior living or healthcare dining is a plus.
    • \n
    • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; culinary training or certification is beneficial.
